Eingren Manor
A haunted manor lies beyond a destroyed town on an island by the rear of Tagor. This quest is very difficult and time consuming so make sure you have a proper group who have at least 15 hours of free time to complete the quest. You will need a priest (preferabally a bard), and a fighter of some sort. Rogues are very useful with their assassin strike in this quest. To start the quest you will need two items: A Shovel which can be purchased in the hidden town of Nobis and a Deoch Wooden Shiled which can be consecrated by a priest of deoch from a plain wooden shield. Once you have both of these items, bring your group to Tagor. At the far right corner of the town there is a tavern. Behind it is a river. Walk to the corner of the river to start the dialogue:

You see a strange dark fog upstream. Curiosity overcomes you and you take a small raft up the river through the black mist.

You enter a cold farm with black rain. There is a farmer named Ian standing next to his crops. Speak with him to hear his tale.
Greetings, what are you doing on this island? No one has ever visited this island before.

My name is Anwar, I am a farmer here. I grow produce and sell them at the Loures market. This place has the best soil.

So, what brings you to this desolate place? Exploring eh? Well you picked the wrong place to be exploring.

Some strange things lie within the heart of this island, evil things. It is best you stay on the outskirts.

That's why I am the only farmer here, the others are too frightened to come. You would be too if you knew the history.

Do you want to hear it, the story of this place?

Like most stories, this began many Deochs ago. I was just a wee lad. I lived with my family at the town near the center of the island.

The name of the town slips me. I was too young to remember and no one dares speak its name, because of what happened.

The town was like any other, like Piet or Mileth. Near the village there was a peak and at the top was a large mansion called Eingren Manor.

Old Eingren was a very wealthy Mundane. From what I have been told, he kept to himself most of the time and died before I was even born.

His death befuddled the townsfolk. They realized something was awry when he stopped visiting the town. When they went to see what was wrong, all they could find was a pile of fresh skin in a pool of blood.

As if he took it off like a piece of clothing. No bones, no organs, no meat. It was assumed he was eaten by some wretched creature that didn't like skin.

For Eingren's funeral, the mortician just stuffed the skin suit with some grass to give it some volume.

It sounds ridiculous, I know. It was a common ghost story parents would tell their child.

Moving on, so after his death, a lady, blast it I forgot her name. Some lady took over the Eingren mansion. Apparently it was granted to her in Eingren's will.

She turned the mansion into an orphanage and became the Headmaster.

It was very charitable of her, orphaned children from all over Temuair came here.

For many Deochs, everything was just fine. Until the townsfolk started to notice that some of the children were disappearing.

The Headmaster said they ran away, and no one thought anything of it. Until one night, the night of the red moon, a shrieking scream was heard through out the island.

It awoken the entire town, a small group was sent to investigate. What they discovered was horrifying.

Within the Headmaster's quarters, they found piles of bones from all the children of the orphanage. The lady Headmaster killed herself in some strange ritual.

Priests from various temples came and sealed off the mansion.

The center of the island became cursed. Everyone eventually left the town leaving it barren. No one really knows what happened there.

That is all to the story, but there is one more thing.

My father was part of the group who went to investigate the mansion that night.

He was already saddened by the loss of the children when he found a diary page in one of the rooms. He read it and it greived his heart even more.

He took the page and brought it back. He told no one of it. I guess he wanted to always remember this tragic event.

When the priests came to investigate the incident, he buried the diary page somewhere in this field.

For some reason he never dug it back up. What ever he saw in that mansion changed him, he was never the same.

Well, if you want, you can roam the field over there to look for the diary page, you might need it if you plan to go exploring Eingren Manor.

Equip your shovel and walk throughout the farm until you get the following pop-up:

You find a soft spot in the soil. Digging with your shovel you find a piece of paper with writing.

Doubleclick the Diary Page 1 to read the first part of the story:
Today was my first day at the orphanage. I felt awkward at first, not used to meeting strangers. But the other children here are nice and friendly.

For the first time I feel at home, ever since my parents died. The Headmaster seems very nice as well, but I get this strange feeling about her. I'm not sure why.

This place is very big, it is very easy to get lost here. The paintings are very scary, I hate looking at them. But with Frankford by my side I have nothing to worry about.

Follow your way down the path into the first area of the Filth Forest. Move to your next area by heading down the right path when it breaks. This will bring you to Filth Forest 4. Near the top portion of the map you will find a green house. Enter it by the side:

Follow through the house into Filth Forest 5. Continue down the path until you reach Filth Forest 7. You will see an eerie Sanctuary:

Enter the Sanctuary and speak with the Dark Acolyte you meet in there.
Welcome ....

...to my sanctuay!

What is it that you want? What is it that you need? What is it that you desire?

Fright I can do, torture would be fun, but death, death I will do for free.

Strange I seem, I know. Dwelling in these parts for so long, so long. For many Deochs one would say, for I was a worshipper of Deoch, or still am, I don't know.

A long time have I been here, such a long time. My sanity left me, left me. It won't come back unless Deoch was here to protect me. A wooden Deoch perhaps.

Physically drop the Deoch Wooden Shield onto the Dark Acolyte.
Ahh this is a Deoch item.

Holding this in my hand eases my mind.

Greetings Aisling, I apologize for my previous behavior and for my appearance.

I am here to watch over this vile place, but I fear that the evil here has seeped into my head almost consuming it.

I assume you are here to battle this evil, and for that I will give you the key to the enterance.

There is a lost soul in that mansion. Her name is Shila. They say that once you step into the manor, if call her she may come to you.

The acolyte will give you a Manor Key. Follow the path deeper into the forest and you will reach the Eingren Manor. Walk up the large amounts of stairs and enter the manor with your key.
You unlock the large door with the key. The doors slowly creek open as you enter.

Once you enter the Manor, speak the name "Shila".

Stay away from me! I'm so scared. I wish Frankford was with me.

You will see three hallways. The left one is hallway 1. The middle is hallway 2. The right is hallway 3. All creatures are spawned by moving around so be sure to move around when you enter the rooms for the quest. Enter the middle hallway (hallway 2) and you will be at area 2-1. Find the Manor Room 4 and walk around to spawn a Ghost. Kill it to get Room Key 1.
Walk up to area 2-2. Find the Manor Room 10 (this will take your Room Key 1 so be sure not to leave the room) and walk around to spawn an Eyebat. Kill it to get Diary Page 2.

I'm really enjoying my time here. I'm making lots of new friends. My best friend will always be Frankford of course. He's always there for me.

The Headmaster seems to be acting strange as of late. She is very nice to the children, but she treats the staff terribly. I noticed that they are very fearful of her.

Walk up to area 2-3. Find the Manor Room 15 and walk around to spawn a Ghost. Kill it to get Room Key 2.
Walk up to area 2-4. Find the Manor Room 24 (this will take your Room Key 2 so be sure not to leave the room) and walk around to spawn a Ghost. Kill it to get Diary Page 3.
Today I spent most of the time gossiping with the other children. We were mostly talking about how mean the Headmaster was. There are rumors spreading that the Headmaster was a witch, but that is just silly rumors.

Some of the boys were making fun of Frankford today, I of course stood up for him. I don't know why they do that, he does not bother anyone.

Walk up to area 2-5. Find the Manor Room 35 and walk around to spawn a Fiera. Kill it to get Room Key 3.
Walk up to area 2-7. Find the Manor Room 43 (this will take your Room Key 3 so be sure not to leave the room) and walk around to spawn a Ghost. Kill it to get Diary Page 4.
It was very cold today, I guess winter is almost upon us. I went to look for extra blankets when stumbled upon a secret closet. It looked like a passage to the cellar.

I was about to enter until that Headmaster slammed the door shut. She said it was dangerous for me to down there and that I sould stay away. After a few hours I came back and the secret enterance was gone.

Maybe I just entered the wrong hall. Oh well, nothing much else happened today.

Walk up to area 2-8. Find the Manor Room 52 and walk around to spawn a Wolvan. Kill it to get Room Key 4.
Walk up to area 2-9. Find the Manor Room 57 (this will take your Room Key 4 so be sure not to leave the room) and walk around to spawn a Ghost. Kill it to get Diary Page 5.
Victorious! I won my first game of kick the kobold, it was quite exciting.

Overwhelmed by my win, I almost didn't noticed that Karena had left. The Headmaster said a nice family had taken her in. I'm happy for her.

Walk up to area 2-10. Find the Manor Room 64 and walk around to spawn a Mary. Kill it to get Room Key 5.
Walk up to area 2-11. Find the Manor Room 67 (this will take your Room Key 5 so be sure not to leave the room) and walk around to spawn a Ghost. Kill it to get Diary Page 6.
Walk up to area 2-12. Walk around to spawn a Ghost in the very same hallway. Kill it to get Room Key 6.
It's been a double moon since I last wrote. Since then I've done quite a bit.

We finally got to visit the town at the bottom of the peak. It was a great experience meeting the towns people, they are all very nice. Oh, and a couple more children left the orphanage.

Walk up to area 2-13. Find the Manor Room 71 (this will take your Room Key 6 so be sure not to leave the room) and walk around to spawn a Ghost. Kill it to get Diary Page 7.
Another doublemoon has past, and more children have left. At this rate it seems there will no longer be a need for an orphanage.

I am a bit disappointed though, it seems like none of the parents have taken a liking to me. Although I have yet to see a single parent.

It all seems very strange.

Walk up to area 2-14. Find the Manor Room 72 and walk around to spawn a Demon Knight. Kill it to get Room Key 7.
Walk up to area 2-15. Find the Manor Room 77 (this will take your Room Key 7 so be sure not to leave the room) and walk around to spawn a Ghost. Kill it to get Diary Page 8.
Finally! The Headmaster just told me a family from Mileth wishes to care for me. I hope the family is nice. I hope I will have brothers and sisters. I am so excited. And Frankford gets to come with me too!

That reminds me, I have to get Frankford, I left him on the 16th floor.
Move up to Area 2-16 and find Manor Room 86. Walk around the room until you get the following pop-up:<

You find something strange on the ground.
You will lose all of your diary pages and obtain a bear doll named Frankford. Take the Frankford bear doll to Area 2-17, Manor Room 99. Speak the name "Shila" to initate the dialogue.

Frankford! Thank you for bringing him to me I'm so scared being here by myself.

The Headmaster witch is looking for me, she has always been looking for me.

She is a demon worshipper and she has been sacrificing the children.

She almost had me, but I escaped. I'm not sure how but I did.

Please, take this and continue to the top floor ((2-20)), that is where she is. Kill her, kill that witch for me.
You will lose Frankford and recieve the Headmaster key. Head up to area 2-20. Whoever steps through the portal first will lose his or her Headmaster key and summon the entire group inside.

Hahahahahahahahaha....pathetic fool. You swallowed the bait like a stupid fish. yes, I know I am dead, I was sacrificed by the Headmaster to the Demon Lord.

I have become a servant of the Demon Lord, luring fresh meat. The whole frankford bit is convincing is it not? Though, I must admit that those diary entries are real.

But that is who I once was, and things have changed. Prepare to die.
Fight Shila. She will drop a Headmaster's Note:
My Shila, you have been a loyal servant thus far. My powers grow stong as I slumber in this glass sphere.

During my sleep, I ask that you continue to lure fresh stock for the Demon Lord, just as when you were assisting me lure those orphans.

For my powers to fully develop, I must continue to remain here on the 16th floor of the third hall. I will eventually need you to bring me to the top floor of the third Hall.
Leave the room and re-enter and fight Shila again and again until the entire group gets their Headmaster's Note. Shila does not "spawn" unless you enter the room and lose your Headmaster key. Once finished, walk all the way back to the enterance of the manor. I know it's a long walk but don't use a scroll or dachaid to leave, it will cost you another deoch shield to enter the manor again if you do.

Walk all the way up the third hallway to area 3-16 and enter room 193. Kill the shadows and obtain Crystal Balls from them, one for each member of your group.

Walk up to area 3-20 and physically drop the crystal ball onto the Table.
You place the Crystal Ball on the table. The table shakes and comes alive.....
It summons a Crystal Ball Table. Kill it and the Headmaster will appear. Kill her and she drops a Demon orb. Let each group member drop the crystal ball on the table one at a time and each get their own reward for killing the Headmaster. Once finished, walk all the way back to the enterance of the manor. I know it's a long walk but don't use a scroll or dachaid to leave, it will cost you another deoch shield to enter the manor again if you do.

Walk up the first hallway to area 1-3. Whoever steps through first will lose their demon orb and the group will be summoned.

Who dare enter the Demon Lords lair!?! Ahhh, more meat....
Kill the Demon Lord and take the Demon Lord's Notes that he drops. Re-enter with each group member until everyone has their notes.

There you have it. One very long lengthy quest complete. Now we must all await the resolution.. what these notes lead to. Here's the Demon Lord's Notes for a warrior:
Title: Dark Artifacts of Temuair

Item 1 of 5

Eclipse - The powerful sword wielded by Tenes during his battle against Ainmeal. The sword was lost during the battle and has not been found since.

If these artifacts truly exist in this land, then I must collect them all. They will give me the power to rule over all and bring rise to darkness once again.
