Spare a Stick Callough, the weapon smith in Mileth, is helping young aislings get their bearings into the new world. To start this quest you must be under insight 11 and you must have no more than 1999 gold coins or less on you.

I'll take the best one and craft your bludgeoning wood. Don't be too long.
Walk to the point on the map that you see the red arrow. Walk all around the trees near that area to pick up Branches [O, here's a sturdy branch]. Now if you want some extra exp keep picking up branches well beyond the 6 that you need. Each branch you get gives you 50 exp even if your inventory is full and they drop to the floor. Furthermore, every branch you throw in the Mileth Alter next to the inn will give you 25 exp [unless you get a god-popup]. Return to the smith with 6 branches.

Here's a few coins for your effort.
For turning in the branches, you get 1,250 experience, two wooden shields, and a stick. Rarely you will get an Oak Stick which does one more damage than a regular stick. There are also rumors that you could become "Loved by the Mileth Mundanes" by performing this quest. This has never happened for me but I'll be sure to keep you all posted.
