Unknown Depths
Creeg, the pirate inside the second house, second room of the loures harbor, is one of the few survivors of a shipwreck across the ocean to Medenia. Say "hi" to him to begin your conversation. You will need a Breath Ring before you get on the ship to Medenia. You can aquire a Breath Ring through the Oren Sewers quest.

Arggg, what do ye want? I'm enjoying this pint of lager here, leave me be.
Next say "hello" to him.
Ye Aislings are persistant, What do ye want?.
Next say "where" to him.
I'm from nowhere, now mind your own business and let me be.
Next say "who" to him.
My name is Creeg, I am....or was a pirate. Don't be alarmed I won't slit ye throat or make ye walk da plank, harhar.

I'm not good at meetin others, most are scared of me. Now who may ye be?.

Next say "I am YourName" to him.
Did ye say your name was YourName?

I have heard of ye before. Ye are the legendary YourPath.

I have heard tales of your courageous efforts against the Dark Aislings.

It would be an honor if ye would have a drink with me. First round is on me. C'mon pull up a chair.
[He waits for you to sit]

Next say "*sits*" to him.
First round is on me mate.

So ye are probably wondering what a pirate is doin here, in Loures Harbor.

Well here is my story.

I was a crew member of the grand ship the M'Lady. Being pirates of course, we scoured the seas for treasure. We looted ships, explored unknown territory, and buried our treasure.

Like most folks, you are probably wonderin why pirates bury treasure. We don't trust banks, so we bury them in secret places and make a map of it. We then give the map to our children, when they are old enough.

Heh, pirates want the best for their offspring too.

Anyhow, we were a successful bunch. Over the years we found and looted many treasure. Without killing anyone I might add.

We steal from the rich and...and keep it for ourselves har har. We have treasure buried all over Temuair.

That's why I'm here. The only problem is that I don't have any of the maps. Something happened.

Next say "What" to him.
Well, it is a little embarassing.

We were searching for the largest Pearl ever.

Unfortunately, like all pearls, it was guarded by a clam.

We fought ferociously with the foul creature but our ship was destroyed by this clam and sunk to the bottom of the sea.

The map to all our buried treasure was on that ship.

When our ship was destroyed, I was floating unconscious on a piece of derbis.

After a year of being unconscious, I finally awoken in this strange place called Medenia.

The natives there told me a fella by the name of Derick or Cedric saved me.

So here I am back in Temuair. Not sure what to do next.

But hey, would you like to help me?

Next say "Yes" to him.
Great! The only thing I have is this one piece of fragment.

It is suppose to form a tablet with a picture of our ship. Some magical mumbo jumbo.

The rest of the pieces are somewhere in the bottom of the sea, you won't be able to see our sunken ship without the entire tablet.

To begin, you will need to get to the middle of the sea, between Temuair and Medenia. That's about where our ship sank. Hopefully the maps are still there at the bottom of the sea.

When ye take the ship to Medenia, talk to the ship attendant, she usually does not let passengers off in the middle of the sea, but if ye tell her I sent ya, she will understand.

Good luck to ye, I don't really want anything just the satisfaction that you have killed the beast that sunk M'Lady.

You recieve the First Tablet Piece. Leave the room and purchase a Ship Ticket (costs 50~80 thousand gold) to Medenia. You may have trouble purchasing the ticket, just find the time they are selling and Be There at the time the tickets are sold, constantly attempting to purchase one until they are available. Once you have your ship ticket, you may board the ship. Make sure you have your Breath Ring before you board the ship.
An hour after the tickets are sold and while you are on the ship, speak with Anara about the schedule. If she says you are docked at temuair, wait a bit longer and ask her about the schedule again. Once she states that you are on your voyage, put on your Breath Ring and exit the ship:
Hello.  What can I do for you?

We are on our voyage to Medenia, we will arrive in XXminutes.
Put on your Breath Ring and talk to her again.
Hello.  What can I do for you?

The ship is in the middle of the sea. Please wait til we dock.

I see you have a breath ring, i will let you leave
You jump off the ship and are now inside the Unknown Deapths. Make your way to area 8 of the unknown depths and you will find a hut in the center. Enter the hut and you will meet Qualen. Say "Tablet" to begin the conversation with him.
Tablet?! Funny that you mentioned it. When my wife and I first moved down here we explored the neighboring area. Came across this weird rock with drawings on it.

Figured it was part of something bigger.

So, I take it you want my piece eh? Well nothing in life is free. Here is what I want you to do.

I get tired of gathering food for dinner, so I want you to help me build my stock.

Go out and get me as much seafood as possible and I will consider giving you that piece of tablet.

My wife and I only like the stuff near these parts, nothing else. When you think you have enough come back and say Seafood, so I know what you are talking about.

Kill Starfish and Seaweed Octopus' until you get a Tentacle or a Starfish Arm. Return to the hut and say "Seafood" to activate the conversation.
You have some food for me? Let me see...

You have it great, here's the tablet piece I promised.

You recieve the Second Tablet Piece. Make your way to area 9 of the unknown depths and you will find a pirate skeleton in the north corner named Donn. Say "Tablet" to begin your conversation with him.
Boo!

Hehe, sorry didn't mean to scare you.

So, you're looking for the tablet piece I have. I guess it is easy to see through my boney hands hehe.

You're probably wondering why there is a talking skeleton at the bottom of the sea.

Well, sit or float back and let me tell you my story.

Once upon a time...very cliche I know...I was a normal Mundane you see. I grew up in Rucesion, one of the greatest towns in Temuair.

As a young boy I was quite conservative, always listening to my parents, went to school everyday, never bothering anyone.

I was studying to become a great Burgess of Rucesion. As you probably know a politician needs to have a clean and perfect legend.

So I abided by every law and was generous to all the peasants, until one day I met Maryla. I was at the Justice Hall reading the new laws written by the Demagogues. At the time, they were creating new laws by the minute hehe. I then heard a commotion outside.

I went to look and saw Maryla in the custody of two Guards. I was immediately stunned by her beauty and innocence, her charisma shined brighter than Danaan's light.

The Guards were holding her arms brutally, I can see her wincing in pain. It seemed that they were trying to bring her to a holding cell for a trial. One of the guards started to grope her and then began licking her face.

Without even a thought, ignoring all my Deochs of obedience, I confronted the guards.

They were not the honorable pair that one would think of guards. Their odor was horrific, their mannerism were worse than an ogre.

So I stepped up and said "Can you gentlemen kindly explain to me what it is you are doing?"

I had to repeat myself, they did not respond initially. They said they were taking this criminal to the holding cell.

She was being banished for bathing in the town fountain... with her clothes on by the way. I also believe there is a Church there now, where the fountain used to be. Anyway, I thought that was plain absurd.

How can someone be banished for jumping into the fountain? There was no law that did not allow one from jumping into the fountain. But the Guards were right.

Sure enough, at the bottom of the Law Board, there was a law that stated "No one is allowed to bathe in the town fountain." Remember, I was interrupted earlier before I was able to read the entire board.

I still thought it was a rediculous law. So I walked towards the town fountain, and in front of the citizens of Rucesion, including the Guards and Maryla, I jumped into the town fountain, without clothes, hehe,

I even flashed my bum to the demagogue who wrote the law hehe, it was the funniest thing, I even saw a smile spark from Maryla lips.

I was arrested of course and thrown into the holding cell to await my trial. I did not care, by that time I was disgusted with politics. Coincidentally, Maryla was in the cell right across from me.

We talked the entire time we were there. I asked her for her name, which she told me. I also asked why she decided to jump into the fountain, but she never answered me. She asked me why I stood up for her, but she knew exactly why.

We were both eventually banished from Rucesion, but we spent our banishment together, visiting other towns, taking on different adventures. She seemed to like the water a lot.

I then decided it was time, I went to Piet to buy the appropriate attire, and bought a love ring off an Aisling. I asked her to meet at the fountain in Rucesion.

I waited there for a long time, the wait was torture, wondering if something had happened to her, or if she even got my message, you know how those piegon services are.

I was at the fountain for an entire day, until a seagull landed right next to me, on the ledge of the fuontain. There was a message attached to its leg.

I read the letter and my heart sank to my stomach, burning in its acid. I would recite you the letter, for I remember it word for word, but I'm afraid I would become depress as I was when I first read it.

She told me why she jumped into the fountain the day we met. She was a Merfolk.

You see, she wanted to know what life was like on land. So she asked this Magician to concoct a potion that would temporarily allow her to walk on the land.

To keep from dehydrating she had to bathe in water frequently. The effects of the potion eventually wore off and she had to return to the sea.

My love for her was too strong, I vowed to find a way to spend my life with her or die trying.

I was so desparate that I turned to the dark powers of necromancy. An evil wizard...I didn't know he was evil at the time...offered me a way to live underwater with my beloved Maryla.

Without hesitation I accepted his offer. It did work, as you can see I am alive and living in the bottom of the ocean. But you can also see the consequence, becoming the undead.

I can never confront Maryla like this, never in a million Deochs. I did see her though from a far. She apparently moved on, married to another Merfolk with their own children swimming around.

Why would she move on? Well, apparently i found out that after becoming the undead, Maryla found a way for me to be with her. The same Magician that made her walk on land made a special ring, the Breath Ring.

Yes, the same ring you are wearing. But it was too late for me. She sent the ring to a Jeweler in Oren, but as you can see i never picked it up. She sent a ring every moon for a Deoch.

She probably believes I was mad at her for lieing or that I did not want to be with a mermaid. But little does she know, I am closer to her than I will ever be.

Anyway, that is my story. Thank you for listening. If you happen to run into her please tell her "He will always love you". She will understand.

Before I can give you this tablet piece, I will have to ask you some questions about my story, just to make sure you were listening. Just shout out the answer.

First question, What political position was I aspiring to become?
Say "Burgess".
Correct, next question. What delivered the message when I was waiting by the fountain?
Say "Seagull".
Correct, final question. What was I planning to do if Maryla did meet me at the fountain?
Say "Propose".
You got them all right! I guess you were paying attention. As promised, here is the tablet piece.
You recieve the Third Tablet Piece. Now head to Unknown Depths area 12. Inside a hut there is Kiely, the weapon and armor shopkeeper. Say "Tablet" to her.
Tablet? Yes, my husband and I each found a piece near our home.

Do you want it?

Alright, here you go.

What? You thought I would make you do something for it? I don't really need anything, just take the tablet.

Oh, if you are looking for the other pieces, my husband has one, he should be at our home which is not too far from here.

The other piece is in the dead hands of a corpse not too far from here. The body has been there for a while now since all of its flesh is gone, its just a skeleton now.
You recieve the Fourth Tablet Piece. Head to the east and you will piece together all four tablet pieces to form the Ship Tablet. This will transport you inside area 14. Note, once you enter area 14, do not exit it. If you do, you will need all four individual tablet pieces to be transported back into area 14.. and it's not easy to get the first piece from the pirate in temuair when you're underwater if you catch my drift.

Enter the ship and you are on your way through some mazes to complete the quest.

Why does he not come to me?
Say "He is dead"
No, oh no, my poor Donn. *tears dripping* All this time I thought he moved on. How did he die? No wait, do not tell me. He died trying to be with me, somehow I know.

Did he say anything else about me?
Say "He will always love you"
Really? Thank you, thank you for telling me this. Although I am truly sadden by your news, my heart is at ease. I can give you a piece of treasure in return. Please make room in your inventory.
